Greetings #CelticsHockeyNation,
We are sharing the below memo from HNL re: the new ‘Green Arm Band Program’ that has been launched as a pilot program in the Eastern Zone for all divisions / leagues.
We encourage all AMHA players and families to recognize this program and promote ongoing positive encouragement for our developing officials.

Good afternoon folks. Please see below some information for you to share with your Minor Hockey Executives. We are pleased to announce that the Hockey NL Board of Directors has approved our Officials to participate in the Green Arm Band Program for our Metro Associations. Officials under 18 will wear a Green Arm Band to indicate they are in their developing years.
We are piloting the program currently in Metro Associations including Avalon Celtics, Mt. Pearl Blades, Goulds Pacers, Northeast Eagles, Paradise Warriors, CBR Renegades, St Johns Minor, Southern Shore Breakers, and Metro Referees Association.
We are joining many provinces across the country in trying to promote the fact that many of our officials are under 18 years of age and that this reminder will help reduce abuse and harassment directed at young officials. We are hopeful to have this program implemented province-wide for our Provincial Championships which take place Easter Week.
David Crane,
Supervisor of Officials
