Chair Drive ’22!

We are proud to share the recent major upgrades at DF Barnes are now complete and open for use!  We are certain the Harvey’s Heat Retreat warm room and new JSM Electrical Avalon Celtics home dressing rooms will greatly enhance the fan and player experience at DF Barnes Arena for many years to come.

The projects were completed exclusively with the generous support of several corporate sponsors contributing well above & beyond original cash and in-kind donation commitments.  AMHA also recognizes the gargantuan effort from our volunteer group and staff who tackled this project in the face of many financial and logistics challenges.

Now it’s time to furnish the Harvey’s Heat Retreat!  We are sending a direct appeal to our members to complete an essential and final piece of the project.  We have locally sourced a quantity of new, commercial grade tables and chairs that will perfectly complete the space.  We are appealing to members to purchase furniture that will add value to our rink for years to come.  As an option, we will apply text of your choice on the furniture to recognize your family name, business, or anything you want!

AMHA Chair Drive ’22 has a goal to purchase 38 chairs and 4 tables.  We invite #CelticsHockeyNation families / businesses to purchase a chair ($155 each) or table ($230 each) towards our goal.  To donate, please EMT appropriate amount to treasurer@avalonceltics.com.  In the memo of the EMT, please indicate precise text you wish to apply and use password ‘Chairs’.  We will accept the first 38 donations for chairs and the first 4 donations for tables.

We hope to complete this project on a timely basis as we approach an action packed final stretch of the 2021-22 season.  DF Barnes Arena will play host to;

• IHL Playoff Series (April 1-8 & April 8-10)
• HNL Provincial Championship U13 C Division (April 18-21)
• U13AA DJHL Provincial Championship (April 21-24)
• U15AA DJHL Provincial Championship (April 21-24)
• The return of an AMHA Institution, the 2022 U9 Invitational Tournament (April 28-May 1)

Filling the Harvey’s Heat Retreat with furniture is an important final piece of our renovations and we thank you in advance for your generous support!
