Local Hockey Association Welcomes Uniform Sponsor
Capital Auto Group joins AMHA as new corporate partner

St. John’s, NL (February 18, 2022) – Today the Avalon Minor Hockey Association (AMHA) is sharing details of a new corporate partnership for the local minor hockey association.

AMHA proudly welcomes Capital Auto Group as their newest corporate partner and supporter of minor hockey in the City.  Capital Auto Group is a new sponsor of the Club with a contribution of branded custom hockey jerseys and socks for eight teams in the U11 and U13 divisions.

Jennifer Binetti, AMHA Director and Chair of the Fundraising and Sponsorship Committee commented “We are thrilled to partner with Capital Auto Group who have generously sponsored our U11 and U13 recreational programs. They are an innovative and passionate local company whose values and commitment to community are a great complement to what we are striving to accomplish here at AMHA. We are excited to work with them for the next three years and hopefully many more beyond that.”

Representatives from Capital Hyundai, Capital Mitsubishi, Capital Subaru, Capital Auto Centre, Capital Collision Centre, Genesis St. John’s, MINI St. John’s, and BMW St. John’s along with AMHA representatives will distribute the new Capital Auto Group uniforms at DF Barnes Arena on Saturday, February 19.  Excited hockey kids will be sporting new uniforms and representing their Capital Auto Group named teams for the remainder of this season and for years to come.

Avalon Minor Hockey is a minor hockey association in the City of St. John’s.  AMHA delivers recreational and competitive hockey programs to over 400 players aged 5-18.  AMHA supports numerous leagues in the region including AAA Programs, Doug Marshall Hockey League, Don Johnson Hockey League, and the Interlocking House League.  Established in 1984, AMHA offers the youth of St. John’s quality programs in minor hockey and their mission is to;

  • encourage coaches and members to demonstrate a positive attitude
