This News Post is targeted at our parent group who have registered, or plan to register, a player with the Avalon Minor Hockey Association (AMHA) for the current 2020-21 season.

 

As everyone is aware, the global pandemic has impacted all aspects of life and organized hockey has been impacted.  As part of AMHA’s approved Return To Hockey (RTH) Plan, we are hosting a virtual Season Orientation and Parent Meeting as follows;

Please join AMHA officials at this virtual meeting (Facebook Live) who will outline the plans for recreational and all star hockey for the 2020-21 season.  As well, we will provide an overview of our protocols and procedures for ensuring we have a safe return to hockey.  As per the HNL RTH guidelines, this session is critical to informing parents and players on how we can safely return to play a fun and enjoyable hockey season.  We strongly encourage at least one parent or guardian to participate in this important meeting.

Agenda:

  • Overview of recreational and all star programs
  • Overview of COVID-19 protocols and procedures for Feildian Gardens, pre-arrival, on-ice play, and post-activity
  • Use of TeamSnap – Availability & Health Check features
  • Roles and responsibilities of coaches, players, team managers, and spectators
