Hickman Motors renews sponsorship agreement with Avalon Minor Hockey Association

St. John's, NL - Wayne Yetman, President of the Avalon Minor Hockey Association, is pleased to announce that Hickman Motors will again be a major sponsor 2009-2010 hockey season.

"Our Association is again pleased that Hickman Motors has decided to continue our relationship for the third year of our sponsorship agreement," says Mr. Yetman. "Through their support, our Association can continue to deliver excellent programs to our minor hockey players as well as to develop new programs."

For Mr. Hickman, he says the relationship begun two years again is a positive one for his company and looks forward to another successful year.

Hickman Motors and its vehicle brands will continue to be prominently displayed at the Avalon Minor Hockey Association's home rink, O'Hehir Arena on Bonaventure Avenue. As well, Hickman Motors names the Association's Novice and House League teams and sponsors both the Atom A and Atom B All-Star teams. They have also been the major corporate sponsor for the Association's annual coaching seminar this past summer.

As well, the Hickman Motor's name will be featured prominently in the newly renovate multi-purpose room at O'Hehir which will soon be unveiled for all players to see.

"When our executive decided to renovate this room to enhance our programs, we knew we had to involve Hickman Motors," says Mr. Yetman. "We look forward to continuing this relationship for years to come - a legacy for future players in our Association."

The Avalon Minor Hockey Association strives to offer one of the most successful hockey programs in Atlantic Canada. The merger of the former Avalon and Celtics associations in 2001 provides us with the experience of volunteers, players, parents, and coaches of two highly respected minor hockey organizations in the St. John's area. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our players and coaches since the birth of the Avalon Celtics in 2001, and are committed to the continued skills development of all our members.
