Dear Avalon Celtics Parents and Members,

I hope this message finds you well. The Board of Directors for the Avalon Celtics is reaching out with an exciting opportunity to join the board executive in the role of Secretary/Registrar for the Term 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.

Role Description:

Registrar:

· Collaborate with the Executive Director to manage the annual registration of the Association.

· Ensure all players and coaches in our hockey program are properly registered in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR).

· Assist the Executive Director in ensuring teams are registered and certified by the required dates.

· Maintain statistics and track the number of players in each hockey program.

· Report all matters to the President and Executive.

Secretary:

· Keep a record of the Minutes of all AMHA Executive meetings, AGM, and other special meetings as required.

· Correspond with and advise members of all meetings.

· Prepare outgoing correspondence and coordinate incoming correspondence.

· Serve on the nominations committee and oversee the election process at the annual AGM.

· Report all matters to the President and Executive.

Key Skills:

· Competent in Microsoft Office

· Will be trained in the Hockey Canada registration systems and databases.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

· Proficiency with registration systems and databases.

· Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

· Experience in administrative roles or volunteer positions is an asset.
